This is what the Lord says:
        "Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans,
                            who rely on human strength
                and turn their hearts away from the Lord."
                                                                Jeremiah 17:5


God has made us what we are. In Christ Jesus, God made us new people so that we would do good works. God had planned in advance those good works for us. He had planned for us to live our lives doing them.    Ephesians 2:10


Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth.    Colossians 1:15-16
