-Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist when he was about 30 years old. Immediately after being baptized, He went into the desert for 40 days where Satan tempted Him. After resisting Satan, Jesus began His ministry of teaching and healing, telling people that the Kingdom of God they had been waiting for had arrived. Jesus chose 12 disciples (a.k.a. apostles - messengers of God)
    -Jesus' 12 disciples: Simon (to whom he gave the name Peter); James son of Zebedee and his brother John (to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means Sons of Thunder); Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.

    -Each one must be born again, meaning they must be born spiritually with a new heart by the power of the Holy Spirit. 
    -He taught that His disciples must hear and obey His words and they must place Jesus first in their lives, even above family and friends,
    -Jesus also taught that His disciples must love and serve Him, not themselves or money. 
    -And Jesus made it very clear that His disciples were to love and serve Him by loving and serving others, even their enemies.
